A |     New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) The government on Tuesday approved an increase in the minimum support prices (MSP) for all mandated Rabi crops for marketing season 2023-24 ensuring remunerative prices to the growers for their produce.

Accordingly, the MSP for wheat has been increased by Rs 110 to Rs 2,125 a quintal.

As per a media release, the cost of wheat production is estimated at Rs 1,065 per quintal thus the new MSP provides 100% return over cost.

The absolute highest increase in MSP has been approved for lentil (Masur) at Rs 500 per quintal followed by rapeseed and mustard at Rs 400 per quintal. For safflower, an increase of Rs 209 per quintal has been approved.

"For wheat, gram and barley an increase of Rs 110 per quintal, Rs100 per quintal respectively has been approved," the media statement said.

The official statement following the Cabinet meeting said that the increase in MSP for Rabi crops for marketing season 2023-24 is in line with the Union Budget 2018-19 announcement of fixing the MSP at a level of at least 1.5 times of the All-India weighted average cost of production, aiming at reasonably fair remuneration for the farmers.

"The maximum rate of return is 104 percent for rapeseed & mustard, followed by 100 percent for wheat, 85 per cent for lentil; 66 per cent for gram; 60 per cent for barley; and 50 per cent for safflower," it said.

"지난 1년, 저는 무엇보다 당원의 주권 강화에 힘을 쏟았다"고 말한 장 대표는 "당원 없는 정당은 존재할 수 없고 당원의 힘이 곧 정당의 힘이라고 믿기 때문"이라며 남은 1년의 임기 기간 동안 '새 출발'을 다짐했다. 특히 선출직 평가 제도에 대해 "보수의 시대적 가치에 맞게 개편하겠다"면서 "국회의원, 광역단체장, 기초단체장, 지방의회 의원들을 대상으로 새로운 평가제도를 구축하겠다"고 강조했다. '국민의힘 2.0, 4대 혁신 프로젝트'를 통해 당을 도약시키겠다는 방안도 내놨다. 모바일 당원증, 당원 제도 세분화 등으로 당원의 주인의식을 제고하고 당무감사 평가지표 개선, 당원 교육 체계화로 당의 조직관리 시스템도 업그레이드하겠다는 포부다. 여기에 당무 혁신을 위해 당헌당규를 개정하고, 당원주권 2.0 위원회를 출범시키겠다는 뜻도 밝혔다. 또 당 대표 직속의 '민생활력 PLA(현장점검 Patrol·입법 Legislation·사후관리 Aftercare) 위원회'를 만들어 경제, 외교, 안보, 청년, 미래 등 각 이슈를 아우르겠다고 말했다. 뿐만 아니라 '보수정체성확립위원회'를 설립하고 당의 강령과 기본정책 개편, 확대 당직자회의 정례화, 현장 중심 상설위원회 운영, 보수의 역사를 집대성한 온오프라인 기록관 설립 등도 추진하기로 했다. "지난 1년이 무너진 당을 일으키고 흩어진 보수를 결집하는 시간이었다면 지금부터는 본격적으로 승리의 교두보를 쌓는 시간"이라고 강조한 장 대표는 "결집된 당심을 토대로 '민심의 바다'로 나아가겠다. 중심 정당을 토대로 '민생정당'으로 한 단계 더 도약시키겠다"고 예고했다.。
